WGA Environmental: Arrival of the Golden-Cheeked Warbler
March marks the beginning of Golden-cheeked Warbler (Setophaga chrysoparia) nesting season, running through July across the Ashe juniper woodlands of Central Texas. As one of Texas’s only bird species that nests exclusively in the state, the GCWA carries significant weight under the Endangered Species Act that may need to be considered before you break ground.
If your development project falls within potential GCWA habitat, now is the time to plan ahead. At WGA, our environmental team helps clients navigate GCWA habitat assessments, species surveys, and permitting pathways so your project can move forward with confidence.
Reach out if your project needs environmental support this season. We are here to help.
